The nonfiction essay, "The Hat Lady " by Susan Nagleson was a story about two girlfriends and their very special time together, before the hat lady died. Through the descriptive writing of nonfiction, you could feel the adoration they had for each other without them saying it. There were many words not spoken, but the reader, myself still could feel the love between them. I also like how it came full circle, it starts with, "On a snowy Thanksgiving night..." and ends with, "Often, when I am out on a winter's day..." Just like the circle of life, the story had a full circle. This describes many cycles within our own lives.
